Two States Classify Grocery Clerks As Emergency Workers

Minnesota and Vermont have officially declared grocery store clerks as emergency workers during the coronavirus outbreak.
The designation puts them in the same category as health care workers, law enforcement, first responders, and other ‘essential’ personnel.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says this will give grocery store employees access to free child care and other services.
