Salon Owner Sells Business to Employee for $1!

A salon owner recently sold his business to one of his employees for just $1!

Kathy Moura had been working for Pio Imperati for 15 years when he offered her the business.

“She’s a good hairdresser, a good barber, she’s very nice,” Imperati told reporters. “I sold it to her for $1 so we would remain friends.”

Imperati will now be working at the salon as an independent contractor.

“We grew like a family. That’s how he treats everyone who walks into the salon,” Moura spoke of Imperati. “Any person who works here, he wants you to flourish and become something of yourself.”
