If you get a 4 legged furry friend during quarantine, you could have easily increased your health. A new report from Scientific Reports says that having a dog increases your health in many ways.
First, having a furry friend increases your cardiovascular health due to walks and keeping up with your new pet. The report also says that having a dog in your life also can help prevent depression by increasing levels of neurochemicals in the brain linked to bonding and positivity.
If you are looking for a forever friend, it’s encouraged to visit our local animal shelters such at the Bakersfield SPCA, The Kern County Animial Shelter or one of the many rescue organizations.
