Man found dead in pool of blood on north side, suspect detained

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio police are investigating a stabbing death after a man was found dead in a pool of blood inside a north side home.

Calls to 911 started coming in around 6 a.m. from a man who was telling dispatch “he might hurt someone” and that he “found a stairway to heaven.” When officers arrived in the 100 block of Englewood Drive, they found the stabbing victim and another man in his 30s inside the house. Investigators say the man answered the door for police, but then closed it quickly before opening it again to let them in.

Police searched the home for victims, but they did not find anyone else inside.

Investigators say the suspect lives in the home, but the relationship between the victim and the suspect is not clear.
