Majority of CSUB Classes for Fall Will Be Online
The Cal State University system, including CSUB, has announced that courses for the fall will be primarily done online. The move due to fears of the COVID-19 pandemic will affect most courses with exceptions for lab courses, clinical training courses and other in-person activities that cannot be delivered virtually.
CSUB President Lynnette Zelezny said, “We at CSU Bakersfield put the health and welfare of our community above every other consideration. We support the chancellor’s prudent decision to continue with virtual instruction with limited exceptions in the fall, given the projections by health officials that the danger from COVID-19 will be with us for the foreseeable future.” Zelezny also added that the system wanted to make the decision now so faculty, staff, and students had time to plan.
