“I Don’t Want A Gift” What Does It Mean?

Alot of us are on a budget due to everything going on in the world!
So.. When someone says “Don’t get me a gift” should we actually listen to them or will
it be a bad idea to not try and get them a gift?
There was research who asked 25 thousand people to see what it really means… Options like
Saying they don’t want a gift and ill be upset if I get one,
Saying they don’t want a gift but really deep down want something,
Even wanting a gift but wont be upset if they don’t get one.
