“About the play:
As our lives get more hectic we tend to distance ourselves from the traditions and beliefs of our ancestors. Nelson is no exception. Nelson is finally ready to introduce his girlfriend to his family who are very attached to the traditions and beliefs from their motherland. Eddie, Nelson’s brother, shows up unannounced with his girlfriend. Although Nelson’s girlfriend, Beverly, finds the beliefs quite fascinating, Nelson does his best to “protect” his relationship by hiding anything that reminds him of where he comes from. However the real mayhem begins when Dolores finds La Virgen Maria on a tortilla. When this miracle threatens to divide the family, we discover that, unlike our believes, a connection made from love can never be destroyed.”
